Antique Hubley Cast Iron Wire-Haired American Fox Terrier Doorstop. This classic piece features excellent mold detailing showing the iconic wiry coat texture and alert stance of the breed. It features the signature two-piece hollow casting, held securely together by it's original, flush-fitting countersunk slotted flathead screw. The seam alignment is immaculate with a flawless tight fit that lets zero light through. True to period foundry standards, the metal surface texture is very smooth to the touch, featuring hand-filed perimeter edges. 
 
Condition:
Great antique condition with beautiful historic character. It retains its original cold  painted oil enamel surface, now showcasing an authentic, aged all-over , honest age-related weathering.  Patina with natural surface oxidation and paint thinning consistent with its 100-year history. No cracks, breaks, repairs, or modern paint touch-ups. Seams are tight and stable. A magnificent high-honesty piece for the advanced Hubley, cast iron, or canine enthusiast.
